Wood Lane Station Development

A major new shopping centre development for Westfield Shoppingtowns Ltd, which incorporated a new Underground station.

Giffen Switchgear again won this unique contract as a result of its previous project experience within the railway sector, coupled with its ability to produce high specification switchgear tailored to fit within a restricted location.

All materials used in this project had to meet with stringent LUL specifications relating to smoke emissions, dust and damp protection. Switchgear was manufactured to BS EN 60439-1 Form 4 Type 7 (front access).

Scope of work:

Design, manufacture, supply, install, test and commission of :

• low voltage switchboards
• and remote power factor correction equipment.
