Heathrow Express - Earthing, Bonding and Gapping Works

As an essential part of the Heathrow Express Project, Giffen Group was awarded the two contracts to upgrade all existing earthing, bonding and gapping installations for Paddington Station and secondly, for Paddington Station to Stockley Junction.

Scope of work -
Strip out of: 
  Redundant electrical services and equipment 
  Redundant mechanical services and equipment

Earthing, bonding and gapping of: 
  All conduits and containment 
  All station platform lighting, clocks, signs, 
 Columns and distribution equipment 

All mechanical installations, including to: 
   Gas and water supplies 
   All CCTV equipment 
   All stop block lighting and associated transformers. 

Alternative bonding to the rails

Installation of polycarbonate blocking of: 
   Royal Mail chutes 
   Application of insulating paint work.
